Todd Downey
Todd started in the housing business in October 2005 as a Certified Home Inspector. In January 2008, Todd was introduced to the home renovation rebate program and quickly found his real passion. Since then, he has helped over 7,600 homeowners make their houses more energy efficient as a Registered Energy Advisor.
Todd is so enamoured by the industry and the ability to help clients reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, making their houses more comfortable and more energy efficient. While doing this, Todd understands that every home and homeowner is different. He will work with you to create a specific home renovation plan that meets YOUR needs.

Ryan Johnson
Ryan has over 10 years in the customer service industry. He graduated from Fanshawe College’s police foundations program in 2019 and became a Registered energy advisor in early 2019. Over the past year he has enjoyed working as part of the Energy Werx team and helping make homes more energy efficient. Ryan looks forward to answering any questions you may have about your home and the Home Renovation Rebate Program.

Gustavo Muriel
I’m a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) and Certified Energy Advisor, very passionate about renewable sources of energy. Candidate to Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo where my main research project has been Hydrogen Proton Exchange Fuel cells (PEMFC). My background as Engineer has been on Product Development and Quality Control. During the 2 years, I have been doing Home Energy Assessments, an area where I have been able to meet a lot of people and learn about the energy consumption behaviour in homes in Ontario.

Christian
Christian has been performing energy evaluations for over 10 years and has helped over 5,000 homeowners. His knowledge in home energy efficiency will surely be an asset as you embark on your journey to make your house more energy efficient.

Steve Schroeder
Steve has a background in science and worked in federal government research laboratories for many years. In 2015 he used his background and interest in building science to become a Home Inspector and in 2019 became a Registered Energy Advisor. Steve enjoys the investigative nature of Home Inspection and Energy Assessments, digging into how a house was built and how it can perform better and more efficiently.

Jay Barnett
Jay is a graduate of the University of Guelph and is Gryphon Football Alumni. He has been in the customer service industry for over 30 years and in 2021 became a Registered Energy Advisor and Managing Partner at Enegrywerx Inc. Jay lives with his wife and 2 children on a small horse farm south of Brantford.

Haresh-Vaghasiya
Haresh became a Registered Energy Advisor in June 2021 and has already completed over 200 EnerGuide evaluations.
Haresh obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) in 2012 and has over 5 years of electrical estimating and home inspection experience. He is passionate about building science and improving energy efficiency. Haresh is generous with his time, giving back to his community through volunteer work. In his spare time he enjoys reading and playing volleyball. We are thankful to have Haresh as part of our team servicing clients in and around the Hamilton, ON area.

Nick Woolley
Nick brings over 20 years of best-in-class customer service to Energy Werx clients, helping each homeowner develop an unique plan to lessen their home’s energy consumption and enjoy the financial benefits. His passion for home construction started in 2009, when he managed his first real estate renovation project in London ON. Since then, his enthusiasm has developed into running his own certified home inspection company and now, with people’s evolving desire to conserve energy, he is performing energy audits and recommending how to best make homes energy efficient.

David Miller
David began in the energy auditing business in 2009 and has audited and modeled thousands of homes. He has been certified as an Energy Auditor in both the U.S. and Canada, worked for a large insulation company, taken many building science courses, served as a Quality Assurance Specialist, and trained many new EA’s.
David has been passionate about energy and energy savings for decades. He was an early adopter of a solar how water system, has multiple solar array systems in his drive to get his own house to net zero, and completely retrofitted a 110 year old farm house up to today’s standards.

Tyler Mork
Tyler is our Premier Energy Advisor. He’s been performing Energy Audits for over 11 years and performing Home Inspections for 15 years. He loves what he does and enjoys educating homeowners. He’s also a Dad to an amazing teenager and when he’s not working on making homes safe and energy efficient, you can catch him supporting local restaurants and breweries with his Wife, Jen!

Shannon Bastien
Shannon joined the Energy Werx team as a Program Coordinator in July 2021 after many years in customer care and management roles. Shannon is naturally passionate about helping people and protecting our planet.
Shannon thrives on building long term relationships with clients and contractors and continually strives to provide exemplary service.
Shannon and her partner Sean have three sons and two large dogs that they enjoy spending time with.

Aleshia Wattie
Aleshia started with EnergyWerx in January 2022. She has worked primarily in customer service/administrative roles for the past 24 years in a variety of industries. She enjoys working with the public and taking on new challenges in her work. Aleshia is often called a “social butterfly” and will strike up a conversation with anyone. She lives with her husband Dave, their son Quinton, and rescue dog from North Carolina named Arlo. When not working she likes to spend time on family adventures, watching movies, and listening to music.
Energy Audits in South Western Ontario
If you live in the Southwestern Ontario, and want to be more save money, save on electric, gas and Southwestern Ontario hydro bills while having a more energy efficient home, our energy advisors at Energy Werx can help you accomplish all of these goals. There may be energy rebates that you are able to earn without even knowing it, and we can find them for you. An incentive program (started by the Ontario Government in 2017) allows residents to quality for rebates if a clear effort is made to make their homes more energy efficient. Homes that qualify for these rebates include semi-detached, raw or mobile homes. If you are unsure about your home qualifying, Energy Werx can help give you the answer.
Through a home energy audit from an energy auditor, we can tell you which of the available audits you qualify for. Additionally, we can offer ideas of energy efficient projects you can try after the audit. There are many ways Energy Werx can find rebates for you. Some of these methods include: infrared cameras, checks for air leaks and blower door tests. We can also provide a follow up energy evaluation test after the initial test
Homes evaluated thorough these audits can receive many energy efficient upgrades. Some of these upgrades include insulation upgrades, air sealing improvements, window, door and/or skylight replacements, furnace or boiler replacements, and many more. Energy Werx ultimately strives to create a more energy efficient Southwestern Ontario, with citizens that live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. These rebates will make those goals more affordable and attainable for these citizens.
South Western Ontario
Southwestern Ontario covers most of the Ontario Peninsula, and includes areas such as Georgian Bay, St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair the Detroit River and Lake Erie. The region itself is bounded by Central Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe. Municipalities such as Brant County, Chatham-Kent County and Norfolk County are located in South Western Ontario, as well as cities such as Guelph, Brantford, London, Windsor, Owen Sound and St. Thomas. The economy in Southwestern Ontario is heavily tied in with the Midwestern United States, mostly due to its proximity to Michigan.
